Words from our couples

Advice from people who just did it

After every wedding we ask our couples five quick questions — their first dance, what was worth the money, and the one thing they’d tell you. In their own words:

“Remember you’re planning a wedding but also getting to marry your best friend. Yes it will be a bit stressful but it should also be a joyous event to plan.”

Worth every penny: Cars - being able to chat and relax with my dad driving to the town house was so special. The venue - we just had dinner and drinks but we were spoiled and our guests raved about it.

Amber · married August 2026

🎵 First dance: Candy, Paulo Nutini

“Enjoy the journey and remember what matters most, your love for each other”

Worth every penny: 100%, would do it again!❤️

Dion · married October 2026

🎵 First dance: Can’t help falling in love by Elvis

“You won't regret saving money on a lot of things - we DIY'd most of our wedding and it was tremendous fun”

Worth every penny: Party favours for the kids in attendance. The bubbles made for some cracking photos

Lesley · married September 2026

🎵 First dance: St Bernard's Waltz

“Research all your vendors thoroughly and look for reviews from other couples!”

Worth every penny: Our photographer, The venue, the car hire

Claire · married October 2026

🎵 First dance: My Heart & Sleep Theory

Catherine on their wedding day

“Take things in your stride. Remember, the most important thing is that you get married and have the day that YOU always wanted and imagined. Keep it simple, less is definitely more. Don't let the little things stress you or get in the way of you enjoying the whole lead up to the day or the day itself. Don't get drawn in to spending money on things that you really don't need. Don't be scared to ask vendors to scale things back to what suits you as a couple and what you actually want for your big day.”

Worth every penny: This is a difficult one because I feel like everything was worth the money. We had an intimate wedding with just close family and friends followed by a party the following weekend.

Catherine · married August 2026

🎵 First dance: This Will Be (an Everlasting Love)

“Try to enjoy the whole process from the engagement to the planning and the big day. Don't sweat the small stuff, people won’t remember the colour of the candles on the day.”

Worth every penny: Coopers wedding cars. Having a great DJ (Paddy Gordon). The wedding venue.

Neave · married July 2026

🎵 First dance: Courteeners - Take over the world.

Your wedding could be next.
