Kevin and Charlene are a local couple who have followed Glasgow Celtic across the world, so it was only right that football found its way into their wedding day. From the ceremony at St Michael's in the Gallowgate to the reception at Hamilton Function Rooms, the day belonged to two people who knew exactly what mattered to them.

Kevin & Charlene

The morning began in the heart of the East End, with the couple marrying at St Michael's in the Gallowgate. It is a church close to home for them, and the kind of place that grounds a wedding in the streets and community they know best.

For the journey, Kevin and Charlene chose two very different cars to suit two very different parts of the day. The 1930s-style white Beauford Tourer brought a touch of old-fashioned elegance, dressed with ribbons and silk flowers, with a glass of complimentary bubbly waiting for the newlyweds once the ceremony was over. The black V-Class handled the wider party with the same care, the chauffeurs arriving ahead of schedule so nothing felt rushed.

A detour for the diehards

No story about Kevin and Charlene would be complete without football. The two of them have travelled the world to watch Glasgow Celtic, and they were never going to let their wedding day pass without a nod to the club. So between the church and the reception, the cars made a stop at the ground for a set of photographs. It was a moment that meant far more to them than any staged backdrop ever could, the two of them in their wedding finery at the place that has shaped so many of their best memories together.

On to Hamilton

From there it was off to Hamilton Function Rooms, where family and friends were waiting to celebrate. The drive gave the couple a quiet pocket of time together after a busy morning, a chance to take in what the day had been before the party properly began.

It was a wedding that felt entirely theirs, built around the church, the club and the people they love most. We were glad to play our part in getting them where they needed to be, calmly and in style.

Stopping at Celtic Park for our photos meant the world to us, it summed up exactly who we are as a couple.
