The morning began at Kerry's family home in Wishaw, where Andy arrived with the white Beauford Tourer as the sun split the trees. Kerry looked calm on the outside, though inside there was plenty of nervous anticipation for the day ahead. The Beauford, a 1930s-style convertible, suited the soft September light perfectly.
The drive to The Function Room went smoothly, and Kerry arrived a few minutes late, as a bride should, with Kenny waiting for her. A live two-piece band played "You Are My Lady" as she made her way down the aisle, a moment that settled any last-minute nerves into something quieter and happier.
A day of gentle detours
After the ceremony, the celebrations took a scenic turn. The couple headed to Strathclyde Country Park for photographs, making the most of the beautiful surroundings and the open lines of the Beauford. It is exactly the kind of setting the car was made for.
From there came the most touching part of the day. Kerry and Kenny asked to make a short trip to Wishaw General Hospital so that Kenny's Papa, unable to be at the venue, could see them on their wedding day. It was a small detour that meant a great deal, and the sort of moment that stays with a family for years.
With that visit made, the Beauford brought them back to The Function Room and the party got underway. From the first pick-up in Wishaw to the last drop at the reception, the day unfolded gently and warmly, just as they had hoped.
